The results from the annual tenant survey identified tenant concerns with airport security. Key concerns included monitoring of airport vehicle gates and the closed circuit television system. The Airport Administration has reviewed the concerns and are taking the following actions:
Vehicle Gates Effective November 2017 any access card that was not used within the last year was disabled. As routine maintenance inactive cards will be purged from the system eliminating access.
Closed Circuit Television The Airport Administration Team is working alongside the City's IT Department to update the existing camera system to current industry standards in alignment with the City's existing camera operating system and data firewall. Project bids are anticipated to open in July 2018. In addition to updating existing cameras, the project is anticipated to add cameras that will allow for visual access to access gates, aprons and airport facilities.
